April is here, bringing a wave of JSE-listed companies increasing cash dividends for shareholders who are invested on or before the last date to trade. These include JSE Limited, Nedbank Group Limited, Absa Group Limited, Old Mutual Limited, Standard Bank Group Limited, and MTN Group Limited.
Several companies are also boosting their cash dividends by double digits:
- Sanlam, a major South African financial services group, is increasing its upcoming cash payout by 11%.
- HomeChoice International PLC (owner of PayJustNow) is raising its dividend by 16% after reporting double-digit profit growth.
- Sun International Limited, a South African gaming, hospitality, and entertainment company, announced a 16% increase in its upcoming dividend as it continues to see income growth and record earnings from SunBet.
- Wilson Bayly Holmes-Ovcon Limited (WBHO), a South African-based construction company, is hiking its upcoming dividend by 30%.
- OUTsurance Group Limited, a South African financial services company specializing in insurance, has increased its dividend by 44%.
- Attacq Limited, which owns shopping malls like Mall of Africa, is boosting its cash dividend by 46%.
- Stadio Holdings Limited, a South African private higher education provider, is increasing its dividend by 51%.
- Harmony Gold Mining Company Limited has declared a record interim cash dividend, nearly 55% higher than the previous payout.
Additionally, enX Group Limited has declared a special dividend, currently around 27% of its share price.
