Are you being the change you want to see? As an investor, now is your chance to play your part!

Recently, one of our phenomenal members in the Easy Community, Philip Kotze, who invests in the JSE and EasyCrypto on EasyEquities, reached out to us as one of the directors at Brave to Love. This came after he discovered the Donate for Good feature, which allows investors to collectively make a difference while growing and protecting their wealth.

For more than five years, Brave to Love has been a South African non-profit dedicated to healing lives, impacting cities, and transforming nations. Their mission centres around rescuing and rehabilitating victims of human trafficking and the sex trade. By partnering with law enforcement agencies and other organisations, Brave to Love has successfully executed numerous rescue operations, providing a safe escape for those trapped in these situations. Their efforts are driven by a belief in the transformative power of love, which they see as a force capable of breaking bondages and healing broken hearts.

The organisation connects survivors with rehabilitation centres and training facilities where they can learn essential skills to start anew. By focusing on comprehensive care, including emotional, physical, and psychological support, Brave to Love empowers these individuals to reclaim their lives and pursue a future filled with hope and dignity.

Brave to Love also emphasises outreach, particularly to women in the sex trade, offering them support and pathways to transformation. Their work extends beyond just rescue operations; it includes ongoing support for survivors, helping them reintegrate into society with confidence and strength. With a record of 207 victims rescued, 149 outreaches held, and 46 awareness campaigns conducted across five countries, Brave to Love continues to make a significant impact in the fight against human trafficking and exploitation.

According to Philip: "We also recently received an invitation to engage with the United Nations in Vienna on 10 July 2024 due to the great value that Brave to Love has added, even on an international level."  Last month, Brave to Love hosted a training session on online safety and the prevention of child trafficking with Suzanne Lewis-Johnson, a former FBI Child Exploitation Task Force Coordinator.
