Bradley Leather, VP of Partnerships at EasyEquities, reflects on Discovery’s 2025 results and why they matter.
At EasyEquities, we’ve always believed that partnerships aren’t just about business deals or signed contracts. They’re about people, trust, and a shared vision of what’s possible when we work together.

We’re proud to work alongside some of the most innovative, forward-thinking financial institutions in the country to expand access to investing.

This week, our friends at Discovery shared their results for the year ending June 2025, and and the numbers tell a story of solid progress, strategic focus, and a shared commitment to growth.

Discovery’s 2025 Highlights

  • Profit jumped 29% to R15.2 billion

  • Headline earnings grew 30% to R9.6 billion

  • Shareholders enjoyed a 33% increase in dividends

A Breakthrough Year

One of the standout milestones came in December 2024, when Discovery Bank reached monthly operational break-even, a pivotal step in its growth journey.

Over the past year, the Bank has achieved:

  • Revenue growth of 31% to R2.4 billion

  • Clients growth of 32% to 1.2 million people

  • Deposits climbed 26% to R23.3 billion

Behind every one of these numbers are people. Families saving, investors building, and South Africans trusting Discovery to help them move forward. That’s what really inspires me.

Discovery’s whole model is built on rewarding better financial habits, and it’s clearly working. That lines up beautifully with our mission at EasyEquities: helping people build long-term wealth in a way that’s accessible and sustainable.

Proud to Partner

Discovery remains an important part of our partner ecosystem. Their courage to innovate and their commitment to progress continue to inspire us.

Congratulations to the entire Discovery team on this extraordinary year. Here’s to many more milestones, and to continuing to grow side by side.

It’s a privilege to walk this journey with you.
