Last week, Wall Street rallied as strong tech earnings reversed the recent "sell America" trend. Hopes of tariff relief and Friday’s U.S. jobs report kept traders optimistic.
According to the Chief Investment Officer for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) at HSBC Global Private Banking, “So far, we’re seeing big tech companies deliver on earnings, which is reassuring... The other element of the story beyond earnings is obviously the ongoing debate as to whether we’ve seen peak tariff noise or not.”
Microsoft and Meta closed the week higher after reporting earnings:
- Microsoft is expected to maintain its quarterly dividend one more time after the latest results before increasing it.
- Meta is expected to maintain the same payout as last quarter for the rest of the year.
In contrast to the tech rally, shares of iPhone maker Apple declined despite surpassing market expectations, as the CEO noted that it’s difficult to determine or predict tariff costs beyond June, when they expect modest growth in overall revenue.
- However, Apple increased its cash dividend to shareholders, continuing its tradition of raising its quarterly dividend annually.
Shares of Amazon slipped following its mixed earnings but closed the week slightly higher.

Palantir, Hims & Hers, Ford, Ferrari, Marriott International, AMD, Uber, Shopify, DraftKings, Walt Disney, AppLovin, and Coinbase are scheduled to report.
- AMD is expected to maintain its dividend payout.
- Marriott expects to increase its dividend.

- Sanofi SA is paying a dividend that marks the 30th consecutive year of dividend increases.
- American Water Works Co Inc is increasing its upcoming dividend by more than 8%.
- Organon & Company has a dividend yield above 11%
- Pfizer Inc and Delek US Holdings Inc offers a dividend yield more than 7%
Other names with upcoming last dates to trade include Exxaro Resources Limited, Ford Motor Company and Mercedes-Benz Group AG, as well as Hannover Rück SE, which will be paying both an ordinary and a special dividend.
