Investors are in for a busy earnings week, with several major companies set to announce their quarterly results.
- GE Aerospace, a leading aerospace company, will report earnings and could benefit from increased global defence spending.
- Freeport-McMoRan Inc, one of the world’s largest copper producers, is also in focus. Its shares have recently climbed to 52-week highs as copper prices surged amid ongoing supply concerns.
- Netflix is another company to watch, with reports suggesting it could shift from a cash-and-stock structure to an all-cash offer to acquire Warner Bros.
The Procter & Gamble Company, a global consumer goods leader and dividend aristocrat, will also announce its earnings. The company will be paying its quarterly dividend, and the last date to buy shares that qualify for the upcoming payout falls this week.
- Procter & Gamble has paid dividends for 135 consecutive years and increased them for 69 straight years.
Colgate-Palmolive Co, another global consumer products company and dividend aristocrat, also features in this week’s update.
- The company has a strong dividend track record, having paid uninterrupted dividends since 1895 and increased its dividend for 63 consecutive years.
Both dividend aristocrats are expected to increase their cash dividends following the payout included in the latest update.
On the monthly dividend front, Gladstone Land Corp and Gladstone Investment Corporation pay dividends monthly; Both companies have already indicated their expected payouts through to March this year, offering investors predictable income.
ETF dividend season also continues, with some of South Africa’s largest ETF providers, including Satrix, 10X and 1nvest, preparing to pay dividends.
