EasyEquities Investors Supporting Hot Cares This November

Since the start of the year, investors have come together through the Donate for Good feature to raise over R219,000 in support of a range of causes that uplift communities and drive meaningful change, and the momentum continues.

November in South Africa is often seen as a month of gratitude; a time to pause, reflect, and give back. It marks the final stretch of the year, when communities rally together to make a difference and lend a hand to those who need it most.

In this spirit, EasyEquities is featuring Hot Cares, an organisation dedicated to changing lives through compassion, care, and community action. As the season of giving begins, it’s a time to honour the values of empathy and togetherness that lie at the heart of South Africa’s spirit of ubuntu.

Hot Cares embodies this spirit through its ongoing work to uplift individuals and communities in need. As a registered NPC and PBO, Hot Cares focuses on four key areas of impact: humanitarian and welfare, medical and healthcare assistance, education support, and animal welfare.

From providing life-changing surgeries to supporting struggling families and helping learners stay in school, Hot Cares turns everyday acts of kindness into lasting change across Johannesburg and beyond.

On 30 October 2025, the HOT 102.7FM Teddython, broadcast live from Papacinos Broadacres, raised an incredible R31.5 million in just 12 hours for Hot Cares, the biggest Teddython in history. With listeners, businesses, and sponsors uniting in true Joburg spirit, the atmosphere was electric as pledges poured in to support Hot Cares’ four pillars of impact: Humanitarian & Welfare, Healthcare & Medical, Education, and Animal Welfare.

As we head into the festive season, Hot Cares explains, "Over the next month, we’re fully embracing the Christmas and festive season spirit. We’re kicking things off with our famous 'HOT Cares Christmas,' where our team will make 37 life-changing donations and contributions to those who need it most. It’s all about giving back, and this powerful two-week campaign, starting 1 December, will share touching stories on air that are sure to leave you reaching for your tissues!"

Hot Cares has also previously partnered with Dis-Chem, a well-known South African retailer whose shares are available on EasyEquities. Through this collaboration, Dis-Chem has played a vital role in helping Hot Cares extend its reach, from providing essential supplies to families in need to supporting health and education initiatives that uplift communities.

This month's feature highlights how purposeful giving can echo far beyond the moment. By rallying behind Hot Cares this November, Investors are reminded that even small contributions can ripple outward to strengthen families, communities, and futures. It’s a celebration of kindness, gratitude, and shared humanity, the kind of investment that always delivers meaningful returns.

"Hot Cares represents everything we believe in: compassion, community, and the power of small actions to create lasting impact. In the true spirit of November, a month of gratitude and giving, our investors have the opportunity to turn thankfulness into action and invest in a cause that’s changing lives every day," Carel Nolte, Chief Enablement Officer at EasyEquities, said.
