The South African Listed Tracker Awards (SALTA) are back for their 8th year, celebrating the top-performing ETFs in the market. These awards, managed by independent service providers, spotlight the best total investment returns over three to ten years, as well as the expertise behind index-tracking strategies.
SALTA highlights which funds have been consistently strong performers in efficiency, transparency, and delivering solid returns. They also evaluate factors like: how well an ETF follows its index, how much investor capital a provider has attracted and which ETFs investors themselves favor most, based on public votes.

This year, EasyETFs is represented in both the Local Fund Category (EasyETFs Balanced AMETF) and the Foreign Fund Category (EasyETFs AI World AMETF & EasyETFs Global Equity AMETF). Across these actively managed ETFs (AMETFs), EasyAssetManagement (EAM) has delivered strong returns, often outpacing major benchmarks.
- EasyETFs AI World AMETF outperformed the Morningstar Global AI Select Index by 13.24 percentage points, returning 26.06% in 2024.
- EasyETFs Global Equity AMETF delivered a 75.89% return in 2024, significantly ahead of the S&P 500 Total Return Index (28.15%) and the MSCI World Total Return Index (22.94%).
- EasyETFs Balanced AMETF posted a 25.76% return in 2024, nearly doubling the ASISA South Africa Multi-Asset High Equity Category Average (13.26%).
