ABSA NewWave Exchange-Traded Notes (ETN) February 2024 Distributions

A Currency ETN (exchange-traded notes) is like a special investment tool that exposes investors to different currency pairs. ABSA offers three NewWave exchange-traded notes, which are available on EasyEquities:

• NewWave USD: Dollar investments, $1 per note, with daily interest at SOFR (Secured Overnight Financing Rate) minus 0.10%.
• NewWave EUR: Euro investments, €1 per note, with daily interest at ESTR (Euro Short-Term Rate) minus 0.10%.
• NewWave GBP: Great British Pound exposure, £1 per note, with daily interest at SONIA (Sterling Overnight Indexed Average Rate) minus 0.20%.

Additionally, they may distribute interest semi-annually; here are the latest distributions for February.

New Wave GBP ETN will be paying R0.58 per note.

New Wave EUR ETN will be paying R0.37 per note.

• Last trading date – 20 February 2024
• Payment date – 26 February 2024 

New Wave USD ETN will be paying R0.60 per note.

These ETNs are available in the EasyZAR account, and like companies, the "last date to trade" refers to the date on which notes eligible for the upcoming interest payout can be bought.

EasyFx allows investors to transfer funds from the ZAR account into different international accounts, including EUR, USD, and GBP. This costs 0.50% (50 basis points) of the total amount being transferred. To initiate a transfer, navigate to "My Funds" and then select "Transfer."
