January 2025 ETF Dividends List: Satrix, 10X, Sygnia and Prescient

It’s ETF dividend season, as funds from Satrix, 10X, Sygnia, and Prescient prepare to distribute cash dividends to investors. The last date to invest and qualify for the payment is this week.

These funds include:

• Satrix Top 40: Tracks the 40 largest JSE companies by market capitalization.
• Satrix RAFI: Focuses on 40 value stocks ranked by fundamentals such as sales, cash flow, book value, and dividends.
• Satrix RESI: Tracks the 10 largest resource companies on the JSE, capped at 30%.
• Satrix JSE Global Equity: Tracks the FTSE/JSE Global Investor Index, featuring local stocks with global exposure.
• Sygnia Itrix MSCI Japan Index ETF: Tracks the MSCI Japan Index, with major holdings such as Toyota, Mitsubishi UFJ, and Sony.
• Sygnia Itrix New China Sectors ETF: Focuses on the S&P New China Sectors Index, holding Tencent, Alibaba, and Kweichow Moutai.
• Sygnia Itrix MSCI USA Index ETF: Replicates the MSCI USA Index, featuring Apple, NVIDIA, and Microsoft.

It is also worth noting that several of these funds are available in a TFSA (tax-free savings account), where investors do not pay local tax on dividends and interest earned.

Additionally, a number of these funds qualify to be used as collateral for an EasyCredit loan, allowing investors to access liquidity without selling their ETFs while benefiting from the diversified nature of passive investing.
