Exchange-traded fund (ETF) dividend season continues, with funds from Satrix and 10X preparing to pay dividends to investors who are invested on or before the last day to trade.
These include the Satrix Capped All Share ETF, which tracks the FTSE/JSE Capped All Share Index and covers the full all-share universe.
- This fund pays dividends every two months.
Several other funds pay dividends quarterly, offering exposure to different markets and themes that investors may consider for diversification, such as:
- Satrix Dividend Plus Portfolio: Tracks the FTSE/JSE Dividend Plus Index, which includes 30 companies expected to deliver the highest normal dividends over the next year.
- Satrix 40 Portfolio: Tracks the FTSE/JSE Top 40 Index, representing the 40 largest companies on the JSE by investable market cap.
- Satrix Resi Portfolio: Tracks the FTSE/JSE Capped Resources 10 Index, offering focused exposure to South Africa’s resource sector. It includes the 10 largest resource companies on the JSE, ranked by investable market cap.
- Satrix JSE Global Equity ETF: Tracks the FTSE/JSE Global Investor Index, which weights constituents using global free floats, providing a rand hedge through greater exposure to companies with offshore earnings.
- Satrix Nasdaq 100 ETF: Offers exposure to the 100 largest non-financial companies listed on the Nasdaq Stock Market, in one trade.
Additionally, funds that pay dividends twice a year include:
- 10X All Asia Actively Managed ETF: Seeks medium- to long-term growth through a diversified mix of shares across the Asia Pacific region (excluding Japan), covering all sectors and company sizes.
- 10X Global Dividend Aristocrats ETF: Provides access to top-tier global companies known for consistently paying dividends. It tracks the S&P Global Dividend Aristocrats Blend Index (Custom), covering regions such as Europe, Canada, Pan Asia, and the U.S.
These ETFs are available in a TFSA (Tax-Free Savings Account) and some of these funds also qualify as collateral for EasyCredit, allowing investors to access capital without selling their shares, while still benefiting from offshore market performance
