January started with the Parliament Buildings burning as an unexplained attack on the oldest Parliament in the Southern Hemisphere. The easing of Covid-19 Restrictions helped to make things feel a bit more normal again in the country. International Markets struggled as the world waited for the U.S. Federal Reserve to Announce a rate hike, this decision will only be made now in March. Locally the Reserve Bank did increase the Repo rate by 0.25%. Crypto Markets continued to struggle as more and more governments around the world try to either accept it or regulate it.
