This month, we're excited to introduce the Maharishi Invincibility Institute as the latest beneficiary of Donate for Good.
Having previously worked alongside the institution, we're proud to continue supporting an organisation that is transforming the lives of thousands of young South Africans through education, skills development, and employment opportunities.
Since its establishment, the institute has helped more than 25,650 graduates launch careers in industries ranging from finance and technology to banking and management consulting, while making quality education accessible to students from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Its impact continues to grow through meaningful partnerships with leading businesses. Earlier this year, Maharishi Invincibility Institute partnered with Cartrack to create long-term pathways from education into employment, combining accredited qualifications with practical workplace experience.
The institute is also working with Altron, which has committed to training young people for the jobs of the future as part of Johannesburg's growing Education Town initiative. As Dr Taddy Blecher, Co-founder and CEO of Maharishi Invincibility Institute, said, "Partnerships like this are essential in creating sustainable pathways to employment."
This shared commitment extends to EasyEquities' long-standing relationship with MII. Yaakov Goldfein, Chief Analyst at MI Capital, the B-BBEE and investment arm of MII, believes the partnership demonstrates the power of combining education with financial inclusion:
"I believe education and ownership are the two keys required to unlock South Africa's potential. EasyEquities has democratised access to ownership, investing and wealth-building, while the Maharishi Invincibility Institute (MII) is providing free-access, world-leading education to South African youth, with over 25,650 graduates already placed into quality jobs. That's what makes this partnership so powerful: Donate for Good enables EasyEquities' 1.3 million active investors to contribute towards a better future for South Africa while they build their own portfolios and their wealth. This is in addition to the many students and education initiatives EasyEquities already supports at MII as our B-BBEE partner."
Beyond education, Maharishi Invincibility Institute is helping to reshape Johannesburg's inner city into a thriving education and innovation hub, proving that education has become one of South Africa's most valuable resources.
This month, as part of Mandela Day, the institute aims to provide more than 5,000 meals to individuals and families in need, demonstrating that small acts of kindness can create lasting change. Their philosophy is perhaps best captured by Dr Blecher's belief that "Education is the new gold," highlighting how investing in people creates lasting value for communities and the country as a whole.
Investors who believe in the long-term impact of companies driving innovation and education can also become shareholders themselves. Shares in Altron and Karooooo, the JSE-listed parent company of Cartrack, are both listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) and are available to buy on EasyEquities.
Through Donate for Good, EasyEquities investors can help support organisations like Maharishi Invincibility Institute with every investment they make. The initiative allows customers to donate a small amount whenever they invest, with 100% of donations going directly to carefully selected beneficiaries, making a meaningful difference across South Africa. Every contribution, no matter how small, helps organisations like Maharishi Invincibility Institute continue providing education, creating opportunities, feeding communities, and empowering the next generation to build brighter futures.
