Team #Easy takes to the road!

Investing is for everyone and EasyEquities is eager to get more South Africans investing in the brands they KNOW and LOVE. Over the last couple of months we partnered up with the FIA (Financial Intermediaries Association) Roadshow and travelled to different parts of the country.

Thanks to the FIA team for allowing us the chance to talk to all the attendees of the roadshow and for letting us join in the knowledge sharing that you provide to the FIA community of South Africa.

We had 30 minutes slot to present EasyEquities to the delegates. Judging by the responses, engagement, questions and being asked for an autograph on a voucher. It seems that we managed to spread the Easy fever to all corners of the country. In the presentation Charles spoke about the three brands that he used to structure the core of the platform, Facebook, Uber, and Amazon. All of these had a role to play in creating the EasyEquities platform.

A key differentiator for EasyEquities is how we built the platform. Charles strongly believes that in the past “we built an entire industry of products, platforms and services that only we understood. It’s like we built flight controls for Boeings when our clients weren’t even licensed to fly a Cessna – and then said try fly that!” We delayed the launch of EasyEquities by 2 months after having received valuable comments from clients who had taken the time to try out the EasyEquities investment game. Those comments helped make EasyEquities a far better platform now than it was before we made the changes. In short we value or clients because they are the ones using the EasyEquities platform.

At EasyEquities we are all about growing the number of investors in the country. Investing is not as scary, daunting or complicated as it is made out to be. In the spirit of this and helping people to invest in the brands they know and love, we provided all who attended the FIA Roadshows with a R100 EasyEquities investment voucher to kick start their investments journey. #Easy or what?

“Our research has shown that most people who buy shares – certainly on our EasyEquities platform – quickly become active investors. They get involved in generating and monitoring their personal wealth. They start paying more attention to their existing investments and engaging with their brokers more enthusiastically. These are the types of clients brokers want!” Investors are keen to learn and educate themselves about the market,

The response we received has been remarkable, many people asked for more than one R100 voucher because they wanted to start an investment account for their children… Now imagine if South Africa could create a future generation of savers through using EasyEquities to learn and educate them about the financial market? Big dreams, yes, but thank you and well done to those who made the first #Easy step and began their investments journey.
