EasyEquities Blog

The question is, what should I invest in?

With #BlackFriday (FriYay) and #CyberMonday around the corner, I thought I'd share some more on Baskets and Bundles - a clear community fave. On Friday 24 November and Monday 27 November  three of our Bundle providers are giving you a chance to test drive these for a full year, with no managment fees.

From the word go, EasyEquities has been about making investing accessible to everyone. And with thousands of ordinary South Africans joining our community every month, we remain proud of staying true to our mission of being fun, easy, cheap and adding real value.

Since our launch, our community – YOU – have told us that you are keen on information that helps you better answer the most asked question, “What should I invest in?”

And with over 10 000 new people in October deciding that EasyEquities is the place for them to invest their money, we thought we should remind you of our innovative Basket & Bundle solutions. After all, you helped to create them!

In short, if you don’t know what to invest your money in, Baskets and Bundles should be on your radar. By the way, Baskets and Bundles won a prestigious innovation award from Accenture last year, so we are not the only ones who think they are very cool.

To help our EasyEquities community decide which Basket & Bundles to invest in, we also recommend finding out your risk score using our funky, free Riskalyze tool. Within a couple of minutes you have your very own risk number which you can use to match to the risk scores of the Baskets and Bundles and ultimately help guide you towards the right selection.

If you have basket or bundle ideas that you would like to see published or think you have the smarts to be a basket publisher or manager please email me on wsmit@purplegroup.co.za

In short, we have a superb selection – which is growing all the time – ranging from Jan Braai (TV personality who started life as a financial advisor), to Emperor Asset Management (Quantitative Asset Manager with a style bias towards momentum stocks) to PinkDrive (if you want to support cancer charities) to the Kigoda Sustainability basket (for those Easy yousers who believe in doing the right thing by our planet) to BizNews (some interesting choices and lekker returns by financial journo guru Alec Hogg) to Cartesian (selected by one of SA’s leading and first female black asset manager in collaboration with media legend Gareth Cliff) well, you get the idea! We have something for all risk appetites.
