This week is a tech week 🤖🖥️💻 as Nvidia, one of the tech giants leading the AI revolution through its GPUs, is expected to announce its earnings. The company has consistently maintained the same dividend payment (annual dividend yield nearly 0.02% as of writing), and its shares have risen by over 190% in the past 12 months. A beat in market expectations for earnings and revenue could possibly rally the share price.
Amid the tech race to become a leader in AI (artificial intelligence) offerings, the Microsoft Build 2024 conference, themed "How will AI shape your future?", is expected to start during the week. The PC software giant (Microsoft) is expected to showcase new AI capabilities. Microsoft has historically increased its dividend after every four quarters (annual dividend yield 0.71%), and its shares are up 32% in the past 12 months.
In our weekly dividend update, several companies are announcing growing dividend payouts.
In other corporate actions, Accelerate Property Fund, a South African listed real estate investment, will proceed with a rights offer. It will use the funds raised to strengthen its financial position and reposition Fourways Mall.
This week's update also includes exchange-traded funds from the South African market preparing to pay dividends.
