EasyRun for charity

Team Easy never backs down from a challenge, so when our friends at the Born2Run Athletics Club hit us up for a charity run, we couldn't say no.

Rallied behind our Olympian and ETF honcho Shaun Keeling, our Easy staff took to their balconies, yards, livingrooms, and driveways to participate in the charity challenge. The No Loskop challenge took its name from the cancellation of the Loskop Marathon, which was meant to take place Saturday, 18 April. On the plus side, the remote event managed to raise R19 599 - the proceeds of which went to the Solidarity Fund.

While there are other ways of donating to the Solidarity Fund through EasyEquities, the challenge had the ancillary purpose of keeping participants healthy and on their toes during the national lockdown. Our teammates and runners from Born2Run, as well as Phobians Athletics Club, went all out with some overachievers beating the 5km benchmark by at least 10 kilometres.

Some of our teammates shared their journeys on social media under the EasyRun hashtag, but you can check out some of our besties below.

Team Easy will not end its bid to support those affected by COVID-19. From the Solidarity Fund donation on the platform to the support our Easy staff members continue to give to refugees at Turffontein, we are going to see each other through this pandemic and beyond.
