It’s an auction and dividends week as EasyProperties begins the Cluster 1 auction process and announces dividend payouts from several properties.
As for companies that will be paying dividends with upcoming last dates to trade, the journey exploring the global markets continues. This week’s update includes companies with American Depositary Receipt (ADR) shares or ADS.
American Depositary Receipt (ADR) shares represent ownership of foreign shares held by a U.S. bank, allowing U.S. investors to trade foreign stocks on domestic exchanges. The ADR ratio indicates the number of foreign shares equivalent to one ADS.
Companies with upcoming dividends include:
Omnia Holdings Limited, a South African diversified chemicals and services provider, and Equinor ASA, a Norwegian oil and gas company investing in renewables, will be paying ordinary and special dividends, with the last date to trade within the week.
Regarding upcoming earnings, Walmart is expected to announce its quarterly results this week.
Walmart, one of the world’s largest multinational retailers, has recently started 'testing the waters 💧' in the buy now, pay later (BNPL) space, a market expected to continue growing in the coming years. This move is through ‘One,’ a fintech startup backed by Walmart, introducing competition for Affirm (a U.S. BNPL pioneer that previously partnered with Walmart).
Are you investing in the buy now, pay later market? 🤔
Additionally, other companies gearing up to post quarterly results this week include Alibaba Group (with a ratio of 1 ADS representing eight (8) ordinary shares), Tencent Music Entertainment Group, JD Group (each ADS representing 2 ordinary shares), UBS Group AG, and MindMed.
