August Dividends Update: JSE-Listed Companies

August is shaping up to be a busy month for income-focused investors, with several mining giants listed on the JSE approaching their last dates to trade to qualify for upcoming cash dividends.

These include AngloGold Ashanti plc, Anglo American plc, Valterra Platinum Limited (previously Anglo American Platinum Limited), and Kumba Iron Ore Limited.

Among the standout payouts:

  • Anglo American has increased its interim dividend by 229%

  • Valterra Platinum will return R15.1 billion to shareholders after raising its cash dividend by 2,750% to R57 per share. 

Meanwhile, Omnia Holdings continues its tradition of rewarding investors with both an ordinary and special dividend this month, while Master Drilling Group will also pay a special dividend.

Hudaco Industries Limited will be paying R3.85 per share

Acsion Limited will be paying R0.24 per share 

  • Last trading date - 11 August 2026 

  • Payment date - 17 August 2026

Omnia Holdings Limited will be paying R7.50 (R4.70 ordinary and R2.80 special dividend) per share 

  • Last trading date - 11 August 2026 

  • Payment date - 17 August 2026 

Master Drilling Group Limited will be paying R0.40 per share 

  • Last trading date - 11 August 2026 

  • Payment date - 17 August 2026

AngloGold Ashanti plc will be paying $0.70 per share 

  • Exchange rate date - 14 August 2026

  • Last trading date - 18 August 2026 

  • Payment date - 04 September 2026

Anglo American plc will be paying R3.84 per share 

  • Last trading date - 18 August 2026 

  • Payment date - 29 September 2026

Mondi PLC will be paying R1.79 per share 

  • Last trading date - 18 August 2026 

  • Payment date - 09 September 2026

Valterra Platinum Limited will be paying R57.00 (R32.50 ordinary and R24.50 top-up) per share 

  • Last trading date - 18 August 2026 

  • Payment date - 24 August 2026

Kumba Iron Ore Limited will be paying R7.90 per share 

  • Last trading date - 18 August 2026 

  • Payment date - 24 August 2026

Nedbank Group Limited will be paying R10.52 per share

  • Last trading date - 25 August 2026 

  • Payment date - 31 August 2026

The list will be updated as more JSE-listed companies declare dividends.

The dividends mentioned above will be paid in cash to shareholders on a per-share basis. Shares purchased on or before the last date to trade will qualify for the dividend. Investors can also use EasyEquities' Reinvestment feature to automatically reinvest the net dividend payout into shares.
