The Latest Easy DonateForGood Beneficiary: Bokamoso Education Trust

Investors using the EasyEquities platform have made "contributing towards a good cause" part of their investment journey. This is by providing financial support and assistance to nearly 50 organizations and entities making a difference in different communities in South Africa and abroad.

The latest DonateForGood beneficiary is the Bokamoso Education Trust, which is dedicated to ensuring children receive quality education through financial support and ongoing mentorship. They believe in providing a holistic education to empower children to make positive life decisions and contribute responsibly to South Africa's development. Bokamoso Education Trust emphasizes the collective impact of a community of donors in creating significant change.

Lerato, a beneficiary of the trust, expressed gratitude, saying, "Through Bokamoso Trust and the Lombard company, I have come to understand what Williams meant with that statement fully, 'It takes a community to raise a child.' I’m grateful to the different contributors who have lent a helping hand, whether financially or in a familial manner. The trust took me under its wing and paved the way for my future. Thank you for believing in me enough to invest in my future."

Cathrine Du Toit, the CEO, explained that Bokamoso has an exciting year ahead with a newly appointed chairlady who is passionate about education and youth upliftment in South Africa. The trust is looking into a potential merger that will scale Bokamoso and open doors to greater fundraising opportunities.

The fund has educated almost 100 children both directly in school and indirectly through tertiary partners at a tertiary level.

The CEO emphasized anticipation for increased beneficiaries and enhanced technology to support growth, eager to witness children flourish with ample support.

Kurt Solomon from CN&CO, also a sponsor to several students of the trust, lauded the positive experience of working with the Bokamoso Education Trust, praising their wonderful team, organization, and impact on student's academic success and dreams. Proud to be part of this meaningful educational initiative.

"CN&CO has been actively involved with the Bokamoso Education Trust for many years, sponsoring several students. Witnessing their academic achievements and the positive impact on their lives has been immensely rewarding. Beyond corporate support, it's a privilege to contribute to such an incredible cause alongside dedicated partners and individuals committed to transforming lives through education."

Lombard Insurance is a crucial partner for Bokamoso Education Trust, providing monthly staff donations, doubling contributions through employee matching, hosting and attending the "Night at the Races" event, participating in the Bokamoso Golf Day, and contributing to permanent staff costs.

Explaining her experience with trust, Stella Carter from Lombard Insurance added, "Every now and then, you come across organizations that 'shoot the lights out'! Bokamoso is one of these organizations. All the people involved, whether they are permanent staff, mentors, or donors, go the extra mile."

To donate, investors can simply navigate to the final buy confirmation page when purchasing an instrument on the platform. There, you can choose to contribute R5, R50, or R500 to the charity. The default value is zero, ensuring flexibility for those unable to make a donation.
