EXPLAINED: Boxer Stores On EasyEquities

EXPLAINED: Boxer Stores On EasyEquities
2:56

We know our community is excited about the upcoming Boxer Listing on the JSE and so we have endeavoured to give you the opportunity to get these shares as soon as possible on the day they list, by expressing your interest in them now.

Here’s how that works:

If you visit our New Listings page you’ll see that Boxer is available as an Expression of Interest (EOI).

This allows you to indicate how much you would be interested in investing in the share on the day it lists.

EasyEquities will also place an expression of interest instruction with the institutions who are handling the book build for Boxer. What this means is that if granted, they will allocate a certain amount of shares to us, which we will then pass on to you, our community. Our ultimate goal being that those who submit an EOI will be allocated the amount (or a pro rata amount based on how much we are allocated from the book builders) of shares as soon as we receive them. Remember that there is no guarantee that we get any shares.

What are the benefits in submitting an EOI?

If we are allocated an amount of Boxer shares and are able to get these shares prior to the listing, you will have Boxer shares allocated to your EasyEquities account as soon as possible. This could potentially give you a lower entry price, as often, the price of a share – particularly one which has been highly anticipated to list – can go up on the day that it is listed and traded on the secondary market.

You will also pay no brokerage on the transaction of these shares.

What are the possible outcomes and variables?

Unfortunately there is no way to guarantee if EasyEquities will get the full amount it applies for in the book build, or any amount at all.

If we are allocated an amount in the book build

If we successfully secure an allocation of Boxer shares based on our expression of interest in the book build, we will be able to allocate that amount to all who have expressed interest in our community. However, we may not get the total amount that our investors have expressed interest in. In that instance, we will pro-rata the amount so that each investor gets a portion relative to the amount they expressed an interest in, and the unutilised money will be returned to their accounts.

On the day of listing, these shares will automatically appear in their accounts. However we cannot commit to a time they will be allocated or at what price they will be bought. To increase our likelihood of receiving an allocation, we are applying at the maximum price range of R54.00.

If we are unable to secure an amount in the book build

In this instance, we will return all money that was put forward as part of your expression of interest. You can then still purchase Boxer shares on they day they list of your own accord, but this will be subject to liquidity and current market prices at the time of purchase.
