Check on the progress of your property: March 2024 Reports

In the same way that you would be interested to know what a company you’re invested in is up to, keeping tabs on the progress of the properties you’ve invested in can also be a worthwhile exercise. We’ve compiled detailed reports on the different EasyProperties investments and how they are doing. The reports are short and sweet and done in an easy to digest infographic style.

How to access property reports

To access quarterly reports, log in to your EasyProperties account and select a specific property. Scroll down and download the report from the Property Documents section under the Description tab.

Here’s an update on the progress of some of our EasyProperties investments:

Saxon Square

Following our previous update in November 2023, we're happy to share significant progress on Saxon Square. The zoning rights for development have been secured, and the application for Site Development Plan (SDP) approval has been submitted. We're diligently addressing all remaining requirements for construction to commence. This property offers projected yields of 8.6% upon completion and an estimated 10.7% IRR.

BlackBrick Properties:

The BlackBrick team have resumed community activities across their properties and announced the upcoming construction of BlackBrick Gardens (expected April 2024 completion) and BlackBrick Bedford (expected completion by mid-May 2024), which boasts a projected 8.65% net rental yield and a 12-month rental guarantee.

One on Anne:

Phase 1 is complete, with a show unit available for viewing. Investors can expect projected net rental returns of 9.5% for a guaranteed 24 months.

The Fynbos:

Construction has begun on this pioneering biophilic building in Cape Town. The first apartments are expected to be ready by early 2025.

The One Stellenbosch:

This property is on track for delivery by December 2024, with 7 units secured by EasyProperties at a discount and a 2-year rental guarantee.

Akaru Bryanston:

Construction has commenced on this upmarket development, with EasyProperties securing 12 units offering a projected net yield of 8.66%.

Volley Brooklyn:

Our first student accommodation in Gauteng is fully let for the 2024 academic year. Construction has also begun on Volley Baileys, their second student development.

Capital Pearls:

The auction and dividend distribution for this property are on hold due to a VAT registration issue. However, investors can look forward to a projected net rental yield starting at 5.9% with a 4% annual escalation once resolved (anticipated in early 2025).

Balwin:

We're proud to own over 104 units across 6 Balwin developments, which recently won 12 awards at the International Property Awards held in Dubai late last year. Balwin has been actively promoting healthy living through various marathons across South Africa. The upcoming Balwin Sport Dolphin Striders Marathon in Durban on March 17th presents an excellent opportunity for community engagement. Plus, participants have a chance to win a fully furnished apartment as part of the grand prize.
