#STGenNext: EasyEquities, One Of The Coolest Platforms For Youth!

Earlier this week, Sunday Times, one of the country's largest and most influential newspapers, hosted the Sunday Times Generation Next (GenNext) awards.

Congratulations to our fantastic partner, Capitec Bank, for being recognized as one of the Coolest Banks, as well as the top Savings & Investment Platform among youth. We are so proud that more than 400,000 Capitec EasyEquities clients are using the coolest savings and investment app among youth.

EasyEquities took the runner-up position in the same category – so number one and two is part of Team Easy!

Capitec Bank partnered with EasyEquities many years ago, allowing millions of its clients to invest any amount using the EasyEquities widget in their banking app for saving and transacting.

You(th) are the future! The Sunday Times GenNext, independently audited, stands as South Africa's premier barometer of youth trends, esteemed by brand experts, and serving as a benchmark for leading South African brands. This year's theme was "Ready Player One" - an exploration of a world where online connections rule. Imagine a landscape where online gaming, Zoom meetings, and the metaverse take center stage.

Starting with ages 8-12, The Sunday Times GenNext report offers valuable insights into brand recognition and coolness factors across different age groups, including Tweens, Teens (ages 13-18), Young Adults (ages 19-24), and Young Professionals (ages 25-30). This report doesn't just reflect current buying habits; it also reveals the dreams and aspirations of young consumers, giving brands a glimpse into what they might want in the future.

Clicks, Vodacom, Netflix, Nike, and Mercedes-Benz Group AG, among the other winners in different categories, are also available on the EasyEquities platform, which young people can invest in with no minimum.

Investing from a young age allows one to take advantage of the years ahead. Youthful curiosity combined with early investing can spark a lifetime of financial success.

The circle of investors offered our EasyVSTR community some insights into how young professionals invest together, how siblings work on their investment journey together, and how a parent gets their child(ren) involved in the financial world. Here are the episodes.
