As the year picks up momentum, this week brings significant updates in earnings and dividends.
Earnings Announcements
Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC), a leading semiconductor manufacturer, is set to announce its earnings. According to Sanlam Private Wealth’s investment analyst, the semiconductor giant is “positioned to capitalize on structural trends such as AI, as well as the cyclical recovery in the semiconductor market.”
In addition, major U.S. financial institutions - including JPMorgan, Wells Fargo, Citibank, Bank of America, Goldman Sachs, and Morgan Stanley - will also release their earnings this week. These financial giants have a history of outperforming market expectations on earnings, drawing significant attention to financial stocks. Notably, TSMC, a key supplier to Apple, Nvidia, Broadcom, and Marvell, is scheduled to report its earnings early Thursday. Will you be investing?
Upcoming Dividends
Our latest dividend update features companies like Zoetis Inc., which has increased its upcoming dividend by over 15%.
This week is particularly lucrative for earning cash payouts from exchange-traded funds (ETFs). Several funds from Satrix, 10X, Sygnia, and Prescient will be paying dividends, with the last day to invest and qualify for payouts occurring this week. These include actively managed ETFs like the Prescient Income Provider Feeder AMETF, which distributes dividends monthly.
It is also worth noting that many of these funds are available within a TFSA (tax-free savings account), where investors are exempt from paying tax on dividends and interest earned.
