EasyEquities Investors Supporting iZinga Assist

This June, EasyEquities is shining a spotlight on iZinga Assist – an innovative digital platform that is helping to restore trust and transparency in South Africa’s non-profit sector.

Founded by Derek Lubner and Henk Swanepoel, iZinga Assist has now been added as a beneficiary on the Donate for Good initiative. This gives EasyEquities investors a simple way to support an organisation dedicated to strengthening credibility and improving access to funding for credible NGOs across the country.

The platform allows donors to support verified non-profit organisations with confidence, thanks to a rigorous verification and rating process focused on governance, financial transparency, and real impact. At the same time, it empowers NGOs to showcase their work and build stronger relationships with donors. “With so many non-profits in South Africa, many donors remain sceptical about giving to causes they don’t know,” said Derek Lubner, Co-Founder and Chairman of iZinga Assist.

Bridging the Trust Gap Between Donors and NGOs

iZinga Assist is closing the trust gap by creating a secure, transparent environment where organisations can prove their legitimacy. This not only helps unlock funding for high-impact causes, but also gives smaller and grassroots NGOs a fairer chance at sustainable support.

“iZinga Assist plays a key role in democratising access to finance for local NGOs,” says Carel Nolte, Chief Enablement Officer at EasyEquities. “By helping legitimate organisations prove their credibility and showcase their impact, we’re making it easier for donors to support meaningful work on the ground.”

Expanding Access to Impactful Giving

The platform has already supported several organisations on the Donate for Good initiative, including Thandulwazi. It also offers a Knowledge & Assistance Hub with practical resources to help NGOs improve compliance and governance.

By integrating iZinga Assist into Donate for Good, EasyEquities is continuing its mission of making both investing and impactful giving more accessible to South Africans.
