July 2025 Dividends List

July 2025 Dividends List
1:38

As we mark the start of National Savings Month (July), it’s a great time to reflect not only on the importance of saving but also on how investing could help grow long-term wealth. One of the most practical and rewarding ways to do this is through dividends.

Dividends can play an important role in one’s savings and investment journey, offering a steady stream of income without the need to sell assets, helping investors reinvest, cover expenses, or grow/diversify their portfolios more efficiently over time.

A number of JSE-listed companies are paying dividends in July, with some announcing big increases on their upcoming payouts:

  • Mr Price Group Limited is increasing its upcoming dividend by 12%
  • Clicks Group Limited increasing by 13%
  • The Foschini Group Limited is boosting its dividend by 15%
  • Vunani Limited on the other hand will be increasing its upcoming cash dividends by 388%

There are also special one-off payouts on the line.

  • PBT Group Limited will be paying an ordinary and capital reduction
  • Telkom SA SOC Limited, Tiger Brands Limited, Bytes Technology Group plc, and Alexander Forbes Group Holdings Limited will be paying ordinary and special cash dividends

Fixed Income

South African government bonds (SAGB R2030 and SAGB R2040) will be paying out coupon interest later in July, offering another source of steady income for fixed-income investors.

  • While coupon payouts from government bonds may trigger a tax event in an EasyZAR account, they are tax-free when held in a TFSA (Tax-Free Savings Account).
