Earnings season is in full swing, and this week, Alphabet declared its first-ever dividend after reporting solid earnings, leading to the share price surging!

This week, there are a number of big names expected to release their earnings; these include:

  • Apple Inc. could possibly increase its dividend, given its history of increasing its dividend every four quarters for the past three years.
  • Marriott International Inc. could also increase its upcoming dividend, given its history of increasing its quarterly dividend every four quarters.
  • Amazon.com Inc. has never declared dividends, although there are various reports that it may follow suit of big tech companies like Alphabet and Meta that declared their first dividend.

McDonald's Corp, Starbucks Corp, Mastercard Inc, Coinbase Global Inc, and Pfizer Inc are some companies releasing their earnings this week. Will you be investing?

With earnings, a beat in earnings (when a company reports more than what’s expected by the market) could result in the stock price surging; a company may also initiate a dividend at the time.

For this week's upcoming last dates to trade (LDT):

  • Glencore PLC, one of the world's largest commodity trading and mining companies, will pay shareholders dividends on the South African and British markets.
  • Link Administration Holdings Ltd, a financial services company specialising in retirement and superannuation solutions for Australia and share registry services, will pay a special dividend.
  • Anheuser-Busch InBev SA/NV, known as AB InBev, is the world's largest brewer, owning hundreds of beer brands, including Budweiser, Corona, and Stella Artois, getting ready to pay dividends with the last date to trade being the week.
