Payday after payday, several companies are gearing up to announce earnings and dividend payments, with upcoming last trade dates. Historically, beating market expectations has often resulted in a share price increase.

Procter & Gamble Company: A global consumer goods giant known for household brands, is expected to report higher earnings and pay dividends, with the LDT (last date to trade) this week.

Freeport-McMoRan Inc.: A global mining company specializing in copper and gold production, and Abbott Laboratories, a global healthcare company focused on medical devices, nutrition, and diagnostics, also have upcoming LDTs and are expected to report slightly higher earnings.

  • Other companies set to announce quarterly earnings include Netflix, TSMC, and ASML. Some of the world's largest financial firms, like Morgan Stanley, Citigroup, Bank of America, and Goldman Sachs, are also reporting. They are expected to maintain their current dividend payments for the next three quarters before potentially increasing them.

In the local market, financial firms such as Discovery Limited and Capitec Bank Holdings Limited are set to pay dividends that have increased by 38% and 36%, respectively.
