Weekly Dividends Update

Recently, U.S. stock markets have experienced a pullback, with major indices declining from recent highs, partly due to volatility in oil prices caused by geopolitical instability in the Middle East. Global markets have also remained volatile during this period.

Such an environment could create opportunities for dividend investors, as lower share prices may push dividend yields higher, allowing investors to buy quality dividend-paying stocks at more attractive yields, where dividends remain sustainable. 

With that said, the latest dividend update includes shares trading with annual dividend yields of nearly 15%.

• EPR Properties offers an annual yield of around 7%.

• Annaly Capital Management has an annual dividend yield of nearly 14%.

• AGNC Investment Corp. and Innovative Industrial Properties have dividend yields of nearly 15%.

When it comes to dividend growth:

• EPR Properties, Annaly Capital Management, and Innovative Industrial Properties have a history of relatively consistent payouts, with occasional increases.

• AGNC Investment Corp., on the other hand, has been consistent with its dividend payouts.

Annaly Capital Management and Innovative Industrial Properties pay dividends quarterly, while EPR Properties and AGNC Investment Corp. pay dividends monthly.

Furthermore, Booking Holdings, which owns the platform Booking.com, is set to perform a stock split at a ratio of 25-for-1, which will see investors receive 24 additional shares for each share they own. Fractional shares will also participate proportionally.

• As of writing, Booking Holdings has an annual dividend yield of around 1% and a history of increasing its cash dividends annually.

With the FIFA World Cup approaching, international travel demand is expected to rise, supported by higher-income travellers potentially spending more on premium experiences, which could benefit companies like Booking Holdings.
