The new Money March week brings several dividend opportunities, including payouts from companies with dividend yields of up to 15%.

  • Main Street Capital Corporation – dividend yield of around ~6%, with dividends typically paid monthly.

    • The company will be paying a second dividend for the month in the form of a special dividend, providing an additional payout to shareholders

  • M&G plc – dividend yield of around ~7%, and is among the UK companies with the highest dividend yields.

  • ZIM Integrated Shipping Services Ltd – dividend yield of roughly ~15%+. Since its IPO in January 2021, the company has distributed approximately $5.7 billion to shareholders, more than 25 times the amount it raised in its IPO.

    • The company has also entered into a merger agreement under which Hapag-Lloyd AG plans to acquire ZIM for $35 per share in cash, valuing the deal at about $4.2 billion and representing a ~58% premium to ZIM’s previous closing share price.

Furthermore, other payouts that stand out for the week:

  • Sibanye Stillwater Limited – the mining group has reinstated its dividend, declaring a R3.7 billion ($231 million) payout for the 2025 financial year, marking its first dividend since 2023.

    • The return of the dividend follows a 281% surge in headline earnings per share (HEPS), reflecting a strong rebound in profitability.

    • The company is listed on both the JSE and the US market via ADRs, where each American Depositary Receipt (ADR) represents four ordinary shares.

  • Walmart Inc – the US retail giant plans to roll out another 21 stores in South Africa following its third location in Boksburg.

    • For passive income-focused investors, the company has increased its annual dividend for the 53rd consecutive year, released its full-year dividend calendar, and the first dividend for the year is set to be paid this week.
