Sanlam's Latest Results Are In - And Why They Matter To Every Easy Client
2:49
Sanlam has released its latest interim results for 2026, highlighting strong growth and capital resilience across its business.

Sanlam holds 30% of EasyEquities, and has done since 2017. That's not a detail that only matters to people holding a specific ETF or product - it means Sanlam is one of the shareholders standing behind the platform itself, for every client, regardless of what's actually in your portfolio.

Founded in 1918, Sanlam has grown into Africa's largest non-banking financial services group, and the relationship threads through the business in a few ways:

    • Satrix, Sanlam's index-tracking business, is the most-held ETF provider on EasyEquities.
    • SatrixNOW, Sanlam's own direct investing platform, runs on white-labelled EasyEquities technology.
    • Sanlam also underwrites two other products built here: EasyCredit and EasyProtect.

The same scale and staying power behind these results is part of what stands behind EasyEquities as a whole.

A Strong Six Months

Sanlam has spent over a century building the scale and diversification needed to remain resilient through market cycles, with a clear focus on long-term value creation - and the headline numbers for the six months to 30 June 2026 back that up.

Group Performance:

  • New business volumes: R224 billion, up 22%
  • Net client cash flows: R78 billion, up 42%
  • Adjusted return on equity: 18.4%, above Sanlam's own five-year average of 17.2%
  • Group equity value grew to R178 billion, or 8,401 cents a share
