Investing in ETFs
ETF – it's an acronym that's bandied about often, but what does it actually mean?
Well, for starters, ETF stands for Exchange Traded Funds. It's a fund which allows investors to own an interest in a pool of securities. So when people invest in a Top 40 ETF, in essence they own portions of the top 40 equities in South Africa. This is great for people who don't have the requisite time or skill to purchase equities individually.
The low fees associated with this type of investment are another drawcard that makes investing in an index like this very attractive. Sound like something you'd be interested in? EasyEquities offers over 38 ETFs in which you can invest!
