Weekly Dividends Update

It’s a new month, Money March, and this week’s dividend update includes Paypal Holdings, which has attracted preliminary takeover interest from bidders, including Stripe, after its share price declined significantly over the past year.

A lower share price can also increase dividend yield if payouts remain consistent or grow, potentially improving income opportunities for investors.

Additionally, our latest dividend update includes several other notable payouts and events:

• RingCentral Inc (a cloud-based communications platform providing voice, video, messaging, and contact centre solutions to businesses) declared its first quarterly dividend and increased its share repurchase programme by $500 million amid strong cash growth.

• Booking Holdings Inc, one of the world’s largest online travel companies operating platforms like Booking.com, Priceline, and Agoda, increased its dividend by nearly 10% and announced plans for a 25-for-1 stock split.

Other companies increasing their cash dividends include:

• General Motors Company, one of the world’s largest automakers producing vehicles under Chevrolet, GMC, Cadillac, and Buick, and Expedia Group Inc, a global travel platform owning brands like Expedia and Hotels.com, enabling users to book travel and accommodation. Both increased their upcoming dividends by 20%.

• Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd, one of the world’s leading cruise companies operating global brands including Royal Caribbean International, increased its upcoming dividend by 50%.

Special payouts:

Helia Group Limited (mortgage and financial services), Smartgroup Corporation Ltd (workplace salary packaging and benefits), and SOLVAR LTD (automotive and personal finance provider) will be paying dividends that include both special and ordinary components.
